Internet marketers are always trying to build up their opt in list in order to generate continued sales and increase their customer pool. If you are running a blog it is quite possible that you take for granted that those who comment on your site have already signed up to your list or rss feed. If this is your thought pattern then you are losing out on subscribers big time! What if every time you had someone leave a comment you sent them an email to thank them for the comment and offer the author a chance to sign up for the list via rss or email.

Sounds like a lot of work if you have many different comments being left on your blog. Do not fret, where there is a will there is a plugin. Each time I find a cool one I can not help but pass it on. The name of the plug in that makes this possible is Comment Relish it is a great way to set it and forget it.  Once you install the plugin you can create a personalized email to your commentors thanking them and asking them to sign up.

The plugin provides you will all the tags you will need to paste in the email to insert things like commentor name, RSS feed, the article that the comment was left on etc.  Using this plugin should allow you to build you list more rapidly.   One note of caution is if you have a shared server being used on your host you will want to be mindful as if you are being left hundreds of comments each day your host may ask you to turn it down a notch.  The other thing is tat you may want to send yourself a test email by leaving a comment with your name and email address so that you can ensure the email looks normal.  Aside from that you will be good to go.
