The vast majority of internet marketers will fail because they will not complete the tasks required to succeed. Today’s society focuses on the here and now which only aids in your failure. When you sit down to start creating a new blog entry or article and realize there is something more fun or interesting that you could be doing, how many of you stop what you are doing? Do you find yourself aimlessly surfing the web? You are on the information super highway to no where.
What can you do about this? Your best defense is to know yourself & be honest. If you are easily distracted then shut the tv off and sit in a quiet area. Follow this up by giving yourself a deadline. Think about it, your boss gives you a deadline because if there wasn’t one then you probably wouldn’t create & complete the task. If you find that you have difficulty staying on task then make a bulleted to do list for yourself.
For all the procrastinators out there, use this to your advantage. If you come across something that you do not understand take a break and procrastinate a bit. It will be this instance where you can sleep on it but the key is returning to it. The road to hell is paved with good intentions, I do not know about you but if need be I would rather take the beaten path if it leads to success. The only way you can succeed is if you act and continue to do so. Any time you start to slide of track stop and think about what you maybe giving up!
